This project involved a full, fabric-first renovation aimed at reducing energy demand and improving indoor comfort year-round. Here’s a breakdown of the major upgrades we carried out:

✔ MVHR (Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery) System

We installed a highly efficient MVHR system to ensure constant fresh air throughout the home. This system recovers heat from outgoing stale air and uses it to warm incoming fresh air, drastically reducing heat loss while improving air quality.

✔ Air Source Heat Pump

To replace the old heating setup, we installed a modern heat pump system—an essential part of a low-carbon, energy-efficient home. It provides reliable heating and hot water while keeping running costs low.

✔ Internal Wall Insulation & External Wall Insulation

A combination of IWI and EWI was applied to improve the thermal envelope of the property. This significantly reduces heat loss and helps keep the indoor temperature stable regardless of the season.

✔ Airtightness Upgrades with Intello Membrane

We completed extensive airtightness works, including the installation of an Intello membrane to control moisture and create a more efficient, sealed building fabric. This improvement works hand-in-hand with the MVHR system to maximise energy savings.

✔ Underfloor Heating & Radiator Upgrade

The ground floor now benefits from underfloor heating, providing consistent, comfortable warmth. Upstairs, all radiators were upgraded to modern, efficient units to complement the new heating system.

✔ Triple-Glazed Windows & Patio Door Installation

To improve natural light and thermal performance, we removed an existing window and back door, opening the space for new triple-glazed patio doors. All windows and doors throughout the property were replaced with premium triple glazing—boosting efficiency and cutting heat loss even further.

✔ Lime Render & Lindab Guttering

Externally, the property was finished with a breathable lime render system, ideal for moisture control and long-lasting durability. We also installed Lindab guttering, known for its strength, environmental friendliness, and clean Scandinavian design.
